so since the computer was down last week, I never got the chance to show off this year's cake! Matthew was quite thrilled to wake up to find this guy iced and ready to eat in the kicthen. He could hardly wait for the rest of the crew to show up so we could sing and eat.
we had to sing twice... the first time he was having trouble blowing out the candle (despite our MANY practice sessions with candles since Christmas) and got really upset when a friend helped.. "Mahoo TURN!!"
but tell me, have you ever seen so much happiness on a little guy's face? pretty much the theme of the day since he's now old enough to know it's all about him. :)

I am going to have to show Lee! Who would know that a Mr. Potato Head could bring such joy! Althought something tells me an empty bag with just tissue paper could have brought about the same response :)
I have been thinking....you should do a post just about all of the wonderful things you have baked...crab cake (not to be confused with crabcakes), lemon cake, lemon muffins, German chocolate cake, the difficult cake that your husband requested, cookies.......although I would be hungry just looking at it!
ha- I'll have to do that soon- as a recap of how I accomplished my new year's resolution last year!
